How It Works

How Haggle Works

Bidding on Haggle is simple, fast-paced and almost as exciting as the great deals themselves!

Step 1: Pre-purchase bids (starting at 60 cents).

Pre-purchase bids (starting at 60 cents).

We give you a free bid with registration to get you started.
Step 2: Find an item you like and start bidding.

Step 2

Find an item you like and start bidding.

In most auctions, each bid adds 10 cents to the price, and 15 seconds to the clock once the auction is in the final three minutes.
Step 3: Re-bid if someone outbids you.

Step 3

Re-bid if someone outbids you. Be the highest bidder when the clock runs out and the item is yours!

If you don't win the auction, you'll need to buy more bids and try again.

How Can Our Prices Be So Low?

Shop Live Auctions

In Haggle auctions, all bids are pre-paid, and get used up whether you win the item or not. This helps cover the cost of the auction. Many auction winners get amazing deals on brand-new products.

Suggestions
  • Look for Beginner Auctions, marked with the green circle. These are only open to those with 0-3 auction wins, making it easier for new players to get their first win.
  • Try the Buy It auctions, where you can purchase the item for retail price if you do not win, and we will replace the bids you used in the auction (up to a cap). It's like an insurance policy.

  • Starter items (~$50 retail) may take as few as 20-30 bids to win. Budget at least 30 minutes from the time the clock first approaches zero.

  • Big League items ($250-$400) may take as many as 200 or more bids to win and may last for several hours from the time the clock first approaches zero.

Remember

  • To win an auction, you need to be the highest bidder when the auction clock reaches zero.

  • When the auction clock gets down to 3 minutes or less, time is added when a bid is placed, giving everyone the opportunity to win.

  • Win the auction and pay ONLY the fixed price displayed at the auction's close, plus applicable shipping costs and sales tax.
